ABOUT ME

I’m Dr. Jimenez, and I Believe Healing Is a Sacred Journey
I’m a bilingual (English/Spanish) Afro-Latina Clinical Psychologist, life coach, educator, and community advocate specializing in holistic healing, empowerment, and liberation psychology. I help individuals navigate life’s challenges, including healing from trauma, managing stress and burnout, improving relationships, embracing body confidence, and addressing major life transitions. I also support those adjusting to new cultural environments and breaking free from limiting beliefs and oppressive systems to align with their true purpose.

Science Meets Ancestral Wisdom
My work blends evidence-based modalities with ancestral wisdom, mindfulness, yoga, meditation, and holistic wellness to guide clients through self-discovery and personal growth. I use a culturally attuned approach that honors the complexities of identity, lived experiences, and the systems that shape our realities.
Guided by the bio-psycho-social model, I view well-being as an interconnected balance between biological, psychological, and sociocultural factors. Also, my work acknowledges the deep influence of sociopolitical systems on mental, emotional, and spiritual health, centering healing as a form of resistance and reclamation. I integrate mind-body practices like somatic work, meditation, and Ayurvedic science to help clients restore harmony and reclaim balance in their lives.
Why I Do This Work
Growing up in the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and inner-city Philadelphia, I witnessed how systemic barriers and the stigma surrounding mental health kept Black and Latinx communities in survival mode. These experiences fueled my commitment to creating safe, decolonized spaces where individuals can break free from cycles of oppression, heal generational wounds, and reclaim their power.
With global experience across the U.S., the Caribbean/Latin America, and India, I’ve worked in medical centers, teaching hospitals, community mental health clinics, private practice, community organizations, and nonprofit settings. This diverse background allows me to bring a global, culturally attuned perspective to the healing process.

"The healing of our bodies, minds, and spirits is the work of decolonization."
It’s not just about healing from illness, but about healing from the systems that made us ill."

Your Healing Is an Act of Liberation
Healing is more than just letting go—it’s an act of reclaiming what was taken, of remembering that you were always whole. As you release old wounds and break free from oppressive systems, you create space to embody the fullness of who you are. I’m here to guide you through that journey, where healing and liberation meet.
